Yorktown Freedom Run

The Yorktown Freedom Run is back again in 2024!  The event will be an 8K race on the Yorktown Battlefield on Memorial Day, May 27, 2024.  Registration and awards will be at York High School.  The location is a very nice course mostly using the Battlefield Tour Road.  You can see a map of the 2024 8K course at:  Click here to see 8K map

You can get the registration form by click this.  You can also sign up online using the RunSignUp website.

All runners received a T-shirt.

There will be bottled water and
refreshments after the race.  Medals
were given to runners in 26

categories and cash awards given to

the top three male and female

runners in the Open and Master's categories.

The race commemorates Memorial Day and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedom.  The Freedom Run is operated by the Yorktown Rotary Club; and all proceeds go to the Yorktown Rotary Foundation to provide scholarships at local high schools, support to a wide range of youth activities and community services, and other assistance.  See the Service Projects page for some examples.
